EARTH DAY
MARKETING CAMPAIGN
Mandate /
Problem Statement
The goal of this campaign was to create a visually compelling and emotionally powerful series of posters for Earth Day, raising awareness about species on the brink of extinction. The challenge was to design images that not only inform but also evoke an emotional response, standing out in an oversaturated media landscape. Balancing aesthetics with impact, the goal was to deliver a clear message while maintaining a strong artistic appeal.
Image Transformation
To bring this campaign to life, I started by carefully selecting images of the endangered species featured in the design. Each image was meticulously edited using photo manipulation techniques to achieve a unique, high-contrast effect reminiscent of vintage photographic prints. This approach reinforces the idea that these could be the last images of these animals if conservation efforts fail.

Symbolic Composition
Next, I arranged the animals into a mandala-like composition, symbolizing the delicate balance of nature. This intricate layout not only draws the viewer in but also emphasizes the connection between species and their ecosystems. The repetition of elements creates a mesmerizing effect, making the viewer pause and engage with the message.

Color and Typography
The color palette was inspired by the natural environments these animals call home. Deep, earthy tones reflect their habitats, while carefully adjusted contrasts add depth and intensity. The typography was thoughtfully integrated to ensure readability without overpowering the visuals, allowing the imagery to remain the focal point.

Impact and Awareness
Finally, by merging symbolic imagery with a strong message, the design turns awareness into engagement. The combination of artistic complexity, visual storytelling, and a clear call to action makes the campaign both striking and impactful, encouraging viewers to reflect and take action.
